The Fijian Parliament has officially approved its sitting calendar for 2025. Ro Filipe Tuisawau, the Leader of Government, outlined that the calendar is designed to facilitate the ongoing work of all six standing committees. A significant date in the calendar is June 27, when the 2025/26 National Budget will be presented. A week of debates on the budget is scheduled from July 7 to July 11, enabling extensive discussions on fiscal matters. Other sittings planned for the year include sessions from August 4-8, September 29 to October 3, November 3 to November 7, and finally from December 1 to December 5. The parliamentary session will conclude with prorogation on December 8.
