Fiji’s Invitation to China: A Milestone Celebration Awaits!

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has extended an invitation to Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit Fiji next year, marking what the Prime Minister describes as a “golden milestone relationship” with China. During their meeting in Beijing, Rabuka emphasized the significance of the bilateral relationship, which has endured for over 49 years. He asserted that the partnership between Fiji and China has remained robust throughout the years. President Xi acknowledged this relationship, stating that China and Fiji exemplify equal treatment and amicable cooperation between large and small nations. He also advocated for the establishment of a China-Fiji community with a shared future. Additionally, Prime Minister Rabuka and President Xi previously met in San Francisco last November.
