Fiji Water Flying Fijians head coach Mick Byrne is preparing for a challenging series of matches against Samoa and Tonga in the upcoming Pacific Nations Cup 2024. He refers to the encounters as a “tough Pacific battle” that will provide important lessons for his team.
Byrne praised Samoa and Tonga for their competitiveness, stating, “They are great competitors, as they always are.” He expressed excitement about hosting Samoa at their home ground before heading to Tonga and then onto Japan.
Given the physical nature and strong performances typically displayed by both teams, Byrne anticipates a fierce competition. “Both teams will be equally competitive, and we’re looking forward to that challenge,” he said.
The Fijian squad is set to host Manu Samoa at HFC Bank Stadium next Friday at 6 PM.
