Telecom Fiji has teamed up with Allot Communications, a global provider of ICT security solutions, to launch Fiji’s first network-based cybersecurity solutions tailored for businesses. This partnership positions Telecom as one of the pioneering telecom companies in Fiji and the region to offer such advanced cyber protection services.
In an announcement made this week, Telecom Fiji stated that the new solution is designed to protect businesses from various cyber threats. These threats include malware attacks that can disrupt operations and steal data, ransomware that encrypts critical information and demands ransom for decryption, phishing schemes aimed at stealing login credentials, and harmful websites that may infect devices with malware or steal sensitive information.
Charles Goundar, CEO of Telecom Fiji, emphasized the increasing demand for sophisticated security solutions in today’s digital landscape. He stated, “Our partnership with Allot enables us to provide businesses with a robust and reliable cybersecurity solution, ensuring their operations and data remain protected against a wide range of cyber threats.”
The collaboration will allow Telecom to deliver unified and managed cybersecurity solutions that function seamlessly at the network level, offering businesses an enhanced layer of protection against potential threats.
Dr. Weiming Li, Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific at Allot, mentioned that this partnership will introduce Allot Secure to businesses and communities in Fiji. He added, “Our network-based threat protection solution is designed to offer seamless and comprehensive security, enabling businesses to operate with confidence and resilience in the face of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.”
The new cybersecurity solution is now available for purchase from Telecom Fiji.
