Fiji’s Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu has reported a substantial seizure of over four tonnes of marijuana within the past two months, emphasizing the government’s ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment conducive to business growth. Speaking at the recent Nadi Business Forum, Commissioner Tudravu reassured business owners that effective law enforcement was necessary to attract investment to the country.
The Commissioner pointed out that marijuana cultivation is an entrenched issue within Fiji, as it is locally planted. He also noted that while methamphetamine and cocaine are less prevalent, Fiji continues to serve as a transit point for these substances.
