Anaseini Naikanivatu has made history by winning Fiji’s first gold medal at the Queensland Golden Gloves competition in Australia on Wednesday, marking a significant achievement in her debut at an international boxing event. She competed in the women’s youth 70kg division, where her performance was lauded by national coach Cameron Todd, who expressed immense pride in her accomplishment.
Todd highlighted the success of three other boxers who reached the semi-finals in their respective divisions, including team captain Aminiasi Saratibau, Mitieli Navuasese, and Semi Koroi.
