Pacific Specialist Healthcare (PSH) Hospitals, Fiji’s premier 130-bed specialty hospital, has announced a significant sponsorship of $150,000 for the upcoming Pan Pacific Hash 2027 event, set to take place in Nadi. This inaugural event, organized by the Fiji Hash House Harriers, aims to attract approximately 2,000 runners from around the globe, further enhancing Fiji’s reputation as a destination for sports and medical tourism.
Founder and CEO of PSH Hospitals, Parvish Kumar, stated that the sponsorship is in line with the hospital’s commitment to promoting active and healthy lifestyles, particularly in combating non-communicable diseases (NCDs). He emphasized, “At PSH Hospitals, we strongly support initiatives that encourage fitness and well-being, and the Hash House Harriers serve as outstanding global ambassadors for this mission.”
Kumar also revealed the future launch of the PSH Foundation, which will provide support to patients unable to afford necessary surgeries and treatments. Funds raised from the Red Dress Charity Run, part of the event, will contribute to this foundation.
Dr. Ram Raju, the Event Director, noted the global presence of the Hash House Harriers, boasting over 2,000 chapters worldwide. Extensive marketing campaigns for the event are currently being rolled out across various regions including Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America.
Highlighting the advanced medical facilities at PSH Hospitals, Dr. Raju assured participants that Fiji is equipped with world-class medical capabilities, allowing runners and attendees to participate confidently.
