Staff members from Fijian Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries recently took part in a community clean-up initiative along the Suva foreshore, demonstrating their commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement. Early yesterday morning, teams from Merchant Finance, FHL Properties, and the Fijian Holdings Unit Trust gathered to clean the area stretching from Suva Point to Albert Park.
This clean-up effort aligns with FHL Group’s ongoing mission to enhance the beauty of Suva while fostering teamwork and collaboration among its employees. The initiative not only contributed to a cleaner environment but also aimed to strengthen inter-company relationships.
The activity had the support of the Suva City Council, culminating in a morning tea at Albert Park Hall to express gratitude to the volunteers for their hard work. FHL Group underscored that clean-up campaigns and similar community activities would continue as part of their pledge to make a positive impact on Fiji’s environment.
This effort reflects a growing trend in Fiji where community clean-ups are becoming increasingly popular, as seen in past initiatives by various organizations and groups. For example, recent clean-up campaigns have taken place in other parts of the country, highlighting a collective approach to environmental responsibility among residents and organizations.
The ongoing commitment displayed by FHL Group, along with similar community efforts, is an encouraging sign that together, communities can effectuate positive changes, fostering a cleaner and more sustainable future for all Fijians.
