Chandra Segran, a prominent figure in Fijian football, has been formally welcomed into the Fiji Football Association’s Legends Club as its 84th member. This recognition highlights his remarkable contributions to the sport both within Fiji and on an international scale.
Segran began his football journey in Rakiraki Nanuku, where he climbed the ranks to become a respected referee, instructor, and administrator, leaving a significant mark in the world of Fijian football. In a heartfelt interview with Fiji FA media, Segran expressed his gratitude for this honor, stating, “I am honored to be inducted into the Fiji FA Legends. In 1997, he advanced to a FIFA instructor position, where he mentored referees throughout the Pacific. By 2000, he was instrumental in establishing development standards for referees in Fiji.
From 2001 to 2012, he played a pivotal role in managing the Fiji FA Ba academy, fostering youth football development in the region. Segran’s legacy in Fijian football continues to resonate, with his induction into the Legends Club serving as a lasting testament to his passion and influence in the sport.
