Rugby enthusiasts in Ba are set to have an exciting opportunity next week as the SWIRE Shipping Fijian Drua will host an open training session at Govind Park. This event will allow fans to witness their favorite players in action, as well as engage with them personally.
Shane Hussein, the Head of Commercial and Marketing for the Fijian Drua, announced that the open training session is scheduled for Tuesday at the 4R Stadium, with training set to occur from 12 PM to 1 PM. Following the training, there will be a meet-and-greet session from 1 PM to 1:30 PM, giving supporters a chance for direct interaction with the players.
“This is a great chance for students, fans, and anyone who can take a lunch break to enjoy the open training session and meet the players right after,” Hussein emphasized. Fans will have 30 minutes to interact with their favorite Drua players after the training session concludes.
Additionally, sponsors will be present during the training for activations and giveaways, while the ticketing team will also be on-site for ticket sales. “All players are looking forward to connecting with our fans on Tuesday and, of course, after the game on Saturday,” Hussein added.
The open training session is part of the Drua’s preparations for their upcoming match against the ACT Brumbies, slated for next Saturday in Ba. Fans are encouraged to attend, watch the team train, and rally behind the Drua as they gear up for another crucial Super Rugby Pacific game. This initiative not only fosters engagement between the team and their supporters but also reinforces the sense of community and excitement around the sport in Fiji.
