Weather Update
Good morning, Fiji! It’s time to grab that umbrella and put on your best “just in case” face. As of this fine Sunday morning, the forecast is looking a tad moody, especially in the Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Kadavu, and those charming little islands nearby, along with Lau and Lomaiviti. Yes, folks, it seems our friends in the clouds have decided to drop some showers on us.
But don’t worry, for the rest of the group, it’s a delightful fine weather day! Perfect for those improvised beach picnics! Just be sure to pack a sweater for the cool night ahead because it might just get a smidge nippy—perfect for cozying up under the stars.
Now, let’s talk winds! Expect moderate to fresh easterlies blowing through, which may become gusty at times. Think of it as nature’s way of giving you a little wind-blown glam.
And those waves? A little angry today; let’s call them “rough seas.” So, if you’re planning to take to the water, think twice unless you’re auditioning for a reality surfing show.
Looking ahead to Monday, it’s more of the same with cloudy periods and some showers over those same regions that need a little rain dance. The skies will continue to have a moody streak, while everyone else outside these zones enjoys fine weather.
So for our friends in Navua / Suva / Nausori, expect those clouds to keep hanging around like an uninvited party guest. The same goes for Natadradave and Korovou.
On the other hand, Sigatoka/Coral Coast, Nadi / Lautoka / Ba, Tavua/Rakiraki, Yasawa/Mamanuca, and Labasa are basking in the glory of fine weather. Treat those lovely days with the respect they deserve!
As for Savusavu and that group of islands with interesting names—Lau & Lomaiviti, get ready for some showers, but don’t forget to wear your cozy pajamas tonight!
Lastly, for our friends in Rotuma, the skies are going to drop some fluff on you too, accompanied by a few isolated thunderstorms just for fun.
So, that’s today’s weather wrap-up. Stay dry where it’s wet, and dry off quickly to enjoy the sunshine elsewhere!
