Weather Alert

Brought to you by the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi, on this lovely Saturday the 14th of June 2025 at 3:30 PM.

Get ready for a sprinkle of cloud and a dash of rain as we check in on the forecast for the Fiji group. Expect cool, cozy air and a variety of showers—you’re going to want to keep that umbrella close, especially if you’re roaming around Navua, Suva-Nausori, Serua-Namosi, Naitasiri-Tailevu, Rakiraki, Cakaudrove, the basking Southern Bua provinces, not to mention Kadavu and our charming smaller islands, Lau, and Lomaiviti.

But fret not, because mainly fine conditions can be found elsewhere, where sunbeams might just be trying to steal the spotlight! As the sun sets, the temperatures will dip a bit, so consider a snuggly sweater.

And speaking of winds, we’ll have moderate to fresh easterly winds—not quite a gale force, more like a gentle reminder that Mother Nature has her own plans. The seas will be moderate to rough, so it’s a perfect time to practice your boat balancing skills.

Now, let’s peek into Monday’s forecast: more cloudy periods with brief showers lurking around the same provinces, but don’t worry, the sun is likely to make a guest appearance elsewhere.

For the highlights:
– Navua/Suva/Nausori: Cloudy with brief showers. Don your warmest nightcap; it’ll be cool at night. Monday is looking fine except for those sneaky showers.
– Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Mainly fine. Keep it cool at night.
– Nadi/Lautoka/Ba: Pack your shades, it’s mainly fine! Can we get a “cool at night” chant going?
– Tavua/Rakiraki: Mainly fine! A cool night awaits you.
– Natadradave/Korovou: Cloudy with a chance of brief showers. Suit up for the night chill!
– Yasawa/Mamanuca Group, Labasa: Mainly fine and cool at night. Keep those beach blankets close!
– Savusavu: Cloudy with brief showers. Again, the night calls for your cooler wardrobe.
– Lau/Lomaiviti and Kadavu: More clouds and brief showers, but it’s not all doom and gloom; cool nights ahead!

And for our Rotuma friends, a friendly reminder: put on your windbreakers as a STRONG WIND WARNING is in place. The waters are not for the faint of heart—easterly winds are kicking it up a notch at 20 to 25 knots on top of moderate, gusty conditions land-side. Rough seas for sure, folks, so keep it safe out there.

In summary, prepare for a mix of moods in the skies, grab your favorite sweater, and let’s hope those brief showers don’t dampen our spirits too much! Onward to the next weather adventure!
