Fiji Weather Forecast: Showers, Isolated Thunderstorms, and Flash Flood Risk Across Islands With East to Southeast Winds

Situation: A weak trough of low pressure lies over the group. Associated cloud, showers and rain are expected to affect parts of the country till later tomorrow. Meanwhile, an east to southeast wind flow prevails Fiji.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Occasional rain and isolated heavy falls over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu, Naitasiri and Ra. Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
Occasional showers over southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa, Mamanuca, Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
Elsewhere, partly cloudy with isolated showers especially in the afternoon, evening or overnight. Isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms possible.
Moderate to fresh east to southeast winds.
Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for Tuesday: Occasional showers Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra-Rakiraki, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Cakaudrove and Southern Bua provinces, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands. Isolated heavy falls possible.
Elsewhere, partly cloudy with afternoon or evening showers.
Moderate to fresh east to southeast winds.
