Situation Alert: A gentle northeasterly wind is sweeping across the group, eager to stir up some excitement. But wait! A mischievous trough of low pressure is trying to sneak in from the west, hoping to sprinkle some fun in the form of clouds and showers starting tomorrow.

Forecast until midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group: Expect your skies to be shy with occasional clouds and brief showers flirting about in Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Rakiraki, Kadavu, and their friendly neighborhood islands, plus Cakaudrove, Eastern Macuata, Taveuni and their entourage, along with our beautiful Lau and Lomaiviti groups.

Fear not! Elsewhere it’s mainly sunny skies, at least until that stormy welcoming committee arrives from the west starting tomorrow night, leading us into a thunderous rendezvous by Wednesday. Prepare for moderate easterly winds, though the winds might just feel like they’re playing musical chairs and shift to northeast or southwest soon enough.

Outlook for Wednesday: Get ready for some dramatic weather – think occasional rain and isolated thunderstorms. If that wasn’t enough to fit your excitement meter, localized heavy downpours might just lead to a bit of flash flooding in those beloved low-lying spots. All this follows a day of rain easing and clearing from the west as we say farewell to all the cloudy drama by night.
