Weather Update
Brought to you by the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 10:45am on Tuesday, December 23, 2025

Alright, folks! Grab your raincoats and flip flops because we’ve got a bit of a mixed bag coming our way across the fabulous Fiji group. Expect some partly cloudy skies with brief showers gracing you over sectors like Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and a host of other regions that sound like a geography exam. Just think of them as small, friendly islands that enjoy sloshing around in the rain!

For those out in the wild, adventurous part of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, there’s a chance of isolated afternoon thunderstorms. So if you’re planning to channel your inner storm chaser, just remember to keep an umbrella handy – or a good pair of galoshes!

The winds will be moderately fresh, giving you that perfect tousled-hair look, and seas will be dancing from moderate to rough. Leave the heavy surfing for another day unless you’ve mastered that “gonna wipe out” look.

Now onto tomorrow’s glamour forecast: more of the same! Partly cloudy with those charming brief showers popping up over the usual suspects. And a reminder: if you’re in Navua / Suva / Nausori, expect a max of 30 and a low of 22. A perfect day for doing absolutely nothing outside!

For Natadradave/Korovou, it’s a mild “30 with occasional showers” kind of day defining trendy inactivity. And if you’re soaking up rays at Sigatoka or the Coral Coast, hold onto your hats – we’re looking at a high of 31, plus afternoon showers and potential thunderstorms that might just decide to crash your beach party.

Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba will be all about fine conditions with just a drizzle of distant clouds, embracing some afternoon showers—sounds like a recipe for sopping shoes.

Meanwhile, savvy travelers heading to Yasawa/Mamanuca group, expect a high of 32 with those cheeky afternoon showers sneaking in, while Labasa could play host to some afternoon thunderstorms. Make sure to leave your hairdryer at home in case you suddenly end up in a torrential downpour!

And let’s not forget our buddies in Rotuma where the low-pressure trough likes to linger, promising cloudy periods and a touch of excitement with occasional thunderstorms making an appearance.

So, whether you’re staying indoors, planning a daring outing, or simply twiddling your thumbs while waiting for the clouds to part, remember – weather is just nature’s way of keeping us on our toes! Enjoy the splashes of rain, the warmth of the sunshine, and all the fun that comes with it!
