Weather Whirlwind

Brought to you from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 7:30 PM on Valentine’s Day, 2026!

Forecasting your Fiji weather until midnight tomorrow, most locations are in for a treat with mainly fine conditions – so put away your umbrellas for now! But don’t get too comfortable, as those sneaky afternoon or evening showers are planning their surprise visits over Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups. And keep an eye out for some isolated thunderstorms – they can sometimes pack a punch, especially over Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, so make sure your light-fearing pets are indoors.

Winds will be moderating from the northeast to the northwest, like your cousin trying to ease into a dance at weddings. The seas? Well, they’re pretty chill too – moderately calm!

On to Monday’s outlook: more of that fine weather you love so much! Expect those pesky isolated afternoon or evening showers and lightning rumbles over Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, complete with possible dramatic heavy rainfall when the clouds decide to throw a tantrum. Northeasterly winds will continue to sprinkle their gentle caress, while seas remain moderate.

Now let’s take a heat-check for our lovely towns:
