Weather Update
Brought to you by the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi on this fine Monday morning, January 26, 2026

Hold onto your hats because the wind is blowing from the south and southeast! Yes folks, a breezy day awaits as our friendly winds keep the day moving along.

For tonight’s episode of “Weather in Fiji,” expect a bit of cloud drama and brief showers curtain calls over locations like Sigatoka-Coral Coast, Navua, and Suva – these areas could do with a little refreshing sprinkle! Interior Nadroga/Navosa and other charming places like Tailevu North and the islands will also join the party. Meanwhile, other regions should enjoy some clear skies, making it perfect for stargazing or counting clouds.

Winds are not just blowing south but will make a special southeast appearance as the day goes on, while sea conditions will remain moderately eventful – so don’t go trying to break any speed records on your inflatable unicorn!

Tomorrow’s forecast indicates more of the same cloud action with brief shows over eastern Viti Levu and surrounding areas. If you’re in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, keep an umbrella handy—for you know, the random afternoon thunderstorms might just want to crash your back-to-back Netflix binge!

In the city hotspots:
– Navua, Suva, and Nausori will see some cloudiness and brief showers. Temperature will be a comfy 22-32°C.
– Natadradave/Korovou, you’re in for a cloudy treat with similar weather.
– Over at the fine weather district of Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba, enjoy sunny skies with a temperature range of 23-32°C. Because who can resist a day at the beach?
– On the Yasawa/Mamanuca front, it’s all sunshine with a sprinkle of perfection.

In Labasa and Savusavu, brief showers may dance in and out of your day. While folks in Rotuma are experiencing ongoing rain and a cameo from some thunder – let’s hope the thunder doesn’t steal too much of Rotuma’s spotlight!

For Tuesday: It looks like we’re repeating the good stuff! Expect more clouds and brief showers, but don’t forget that shining sun will make appearances too.

So grab your umbrellas, flip-flops, or whatever floats your boat, because it’s another delightful day in Fiji!
