Weather Update
Issued at 5:30 AM on January 21, 2026 – because who needs sleep when you can know what the sky’s up to!

Alright, folks, get your umbrellas out and put on your rain boots because today’s forecast is looking a bit moody throughout the Fiji group. We’ve got cloudy periods with brief showers sneaking in over Labasa, Namuka, and Udu Point. If you’re planning to roam the interior of Wailevu, Vaturova, or Saqani, don’t forget to pack a poncho – and perhaps a snack, just in case.

Now, for those of you in Natadola, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki, Yasawa, and the Mamanuca group, you’re in luck! It’s nice and sunny (mostly) where you are, but keep an eye out for those pesky brief showers, as they tend to be a bit of a surprise party in the afternoon.

Don’t get too comfy, though! Severe thunderstorms with heavy rainfall might crash the party later. Yep, those localised heavy falls may bring a little flash flooding – so if you’re walking through low-lying areas, you might want to pretend you’re in a wading pool.

For our forecasted zesty max temperatures, expect things to heat up to 31-32 degrees. Just think of it as nature’s way of making sure you’re fully awake when those storms roll through!

Looking ahead to tomorrow (Thursday), the skies will still be feeling a tad dramatic with cloudy periods and showers over various regions, including Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, and the beautiful islands—because who doesn’t love a good rainy day? You might want to squeeze in an indoor activity or two.

Here’s a quick rundown:
– **Navua / Suva / Nausori**: Look forward to mainly fine weather, apart from those occasional drama-filled afternoon showers. Min: 24, Max: 31.
– **Sigatoka/Coral Coast**: Mostly fine with showers in the afternoons – the storms are waiting to binge-watch your life too. Min: 24, Max: 32.
– **For Labasa**: Cloudy periods and isolated thunderstorms are expected – let’s hope you’re ready for a little excitement! Min: 25, Max: 32.

And for the cherry on top, our friends in Rotuma are enjoying polite breezes and a few sprinkles too! Min: 25, Max: 32.

So there you have it! Stay safe, stay dry, and remember – if it rains while you’re outside, just smile and pretend it’s a dramatic movie moment!
