Ahoy, Fiji! Ready yourselves for another day in paradise with a sprinkle of surprises! The forecast until midnight tomorrow is set to be quite pleasant, save for a few cheeky showers deciding to crash the party in the southern parts of Viti Levu—think Nadroga/Navosa, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, as well as the lovely Southern Bua and Cakaudrove provinces, and even the Lau and Lomaiviti groups—because who doesn’t love a surprise shower?
For the east coast of Viti Levu, expect some afternoon thunderstorms—because clearly, the clouds have a sense of drama and want a showing of their own! Winds will be giving us a moderate northwest to southwest caress, while the seas will be moderately temperamental—so think twice before trying to out-swim the waves!
Now, peeking into Wednesday’s crystal ball: anticipate those same clouds that keep copies of “The Big Book of Brief Showers” handy over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, and nearby small islands. Elsewhere, it should be fine too, except for the odd isolated afternoon or evening shower—because, why not?
Breaking it down in style:
For Navua / Suva / Nausori: Expect fine weather with quick showers making an appearance, and don’t be surprised if some thunderstorms decide to join in for a bit of fun later on! Wednesday is looking cloudy with more of those pesky brief showers.
For Sigatoka/Coral Coast: A sunny disposition awaits, along with some quick showers over Sigatoka. And hey, the Coral Coast might just throw in some afternoon thunderbolt action for good measure! Wednesday is set to fine an additional sprinkle of afternoon or evening showers for Sigatoka, with clouds playing hide-and-seek elsewhere.
For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba: Expect mostly fine conditions with a side of possible isolated showers later today. The Wednesday weather repeats this performance; fine with a chance for the unexpected afternoon or evening showers!
For Tavua/Rakiraki: Looks like you’re in for a fine day, although isolated showers may swing by to say hello in the afternoon or evening. The same goes for Wednesday—keeping it fine with those unpredictable shower intruders!
For Natadradave/Korovou: It’s all sunshine and joy apart from brief showers that might drop in unannounced. And yes, that thunderstorm spectacle could be on its way too! Wednesday will likely feature clouds with a sporadic shower flair.
For Yasawa/Mamanuca group: Fine weather reigns, but don’t be shocked if showers sprinkle in during the afternoon or evening. Wednesday will follow suit—just a little cloudy with potential afternoon or evening showers!
For Labasa: Prepare for a mostly fine span of weather, with a sprinkle of isolated showers and a potential thunderstorm shindig later. Wednesday is looking pretty similar, with isolated showers sneaking in.
For Savusavu: Sunny smiles ahead apart from brief showers and an electric show ready in the afternoon or evening! The following Wednesday promises more clouds with quick showers.
For Lau/Lomaiviti: Expect those clouds to hang around for brief showers. It’s a repeat performance on Wednesday too!
For Kadavu: You guessed it! Expect more clouds and brief showers. Wednesday doesn’t show signs of change!
And for Rotuma: A weak trough of low pressure is cozying up just north of you, so get ready for occasional showers and a few isolated thunderstorms putting on a show. The winds will brush through gently enough, while seas maintain a moderate mood. Wednesday isn’t looking too different—cloudy with occasional showers and a dash of thunderstorms!
So gear up, Fiji, whether it’s a beach day or a cozy indoor read, it sounds like a memorable week ahead!
