Weather Update
Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 7:30pm on Sunday, June 1, 2025
Good evening, sunshine seekers! Here’s your weather forecast for the Fiji group, serving up a delightful mix of sunshine with a sprinkle of showers—kind of like a cocktail but without the umbrellas (unfortunately)!
Expect a fine night ahead, though watch out for some brief showers trying to crash the party over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Lau, and the Lomaiviti group, plus our dear old friend Kadavu and those nearby smaller islands. The rest of you can enjoy the sunshine with just a potential cameo appearance by Mr. Shower in the afternoon or evening!
Nights will be cool—perfect for wrapping up in your favorite blanket and pretending you’re a burrito. Southeast winds will be making an appearance, modestly showing themselves at moderate to fresh levels. Seas? Well, let’s call them moderate to rough; they’re having a bit of an identity crisis.
Now for your Tuesday outlook: It seems like the showers are ready to take the same tour as before, peeking over the same areas. But fear not! The rest can bask in their fine weather mood. Nights will continue to bring cool breezes to keep you cozy.
Specific regions, you ask? Here’s the breakdown:
For Navua/Suva/Nausori: Expect clear skies with brief showers wanting a moment on stage.
Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Tune in for fine weather and a few isolated afternoon or evening showers—don’t worry, they come with no strings attached.
Nadi/Lautoka/Ba: Similar story here with the sun shining bright, but a few cheeky showers could drop by unexpectedly.
Tavua/Rakiraki: Mostly fine except for some brief showers over Ra, making sure everyone feels included.
Natadradave/Korovou: Clear skies, with brief showers trying to make small talk.
Yasawa/Mamanuca group: Lovely weather but keep an eye out for the rogue afternoon or evening showers—like that friend who overstays their welcome.
Labasa, Savusavu, Lau/Lomaiviti, and Kadavu all join the fine weather club with brief showers making their sporadic appearances as usual.
As for Rotuma, they’ve got a STRONG WIND WARNING still in play! Apparently, a trough of low pressure decided to throw a party of its own, bringing along 20 to 25 knot southeast winds and rough seas. Expect occasional showers and some electrifying company from a few thunderstorms trying to crash the scene.
That’s your weather update—stay dry, keep smiling, and let nature do its thing!
