Situation: A weak trough of low pressure lies over the western parts of the country. Associated cloud and showers are expected to affect the group till later today. A south to southeast wind flow is expected to dominate the weather conditions over Fiji from later today.

Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
Today:
– Cloudy periods with some showers and isolated heavy falls over most places. Showers gradually easing by later today.
– Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
– Cool at night.
– Moderate to fresh southwest to northwest winds. Winds becoming south to southeast from later today.
– Moderate to rough seas.

Tomorrow:
– Cloudy periods with brief showers over Sigatoka-Korolevu, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
– Fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers elsewhere.
– Cool at night.
– Moderate southeast winds.
– Moderate seas.
