Greetings from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi, where we’ve donned our forecasting caps and brought a delightful mix of clouds, showers, and perhaps a sprinkle of excitement for your week ahead.
As we roll into Monday, expect a smorgasbord of clouds and brief showers, particularly over the southern regions of Viti Levu — think of Nadroga/Navosa, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and their sunny pals like Southern Bua and Cakaudrove, as well as the Lau and Lomaiviti islands. Meanwhile, Kadavu and its tiny nearby islands will also be joining the umbrella party.
Now, don’t put your beach towels away just yet—most other areas should be fine and dandy, with just a chance of those sneaky afternoon or evening showers trying to crash the party. Speaking of surprises, afternoon or evening thunderstorms may decide to drop in over the eastern half of Viti Levu and eastern Vanua Levu. So, keep those raincoats handy, just in case Mother Nature has a surprise guest!
Winds will be moderate to fresh, creating just the right ambiance for that “wind in your hair” vibe, while the seas might get a little rambunctious—moderate to rough waters, so don’t forget your sea legs if you’re venturing out!
Looking ahead to Tuesday, the essence of cloudy periods continues with a dash of brief showers for our friends in Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Lau, Lomaiviti, Kadavu, and their little island buddies. For everyone else, expect some sunny moments with the possibility of those sneaky showers popping up in the afternoon or evening.
Here’s the lowdown for some specific areas:
– **Navua / Suva / Nausori:** Sprinkles expected, with possible afternoon thunderstorms saying “hello”.
– **Sigatoka/Coral Coast:** Mostly sunny unless the afternoon showers have other plans. Thunderstorms may also crash the Coral Coast.
– **Nadi / Lautoka / Ba:** Mostly sunny, but stay alert for those potential afternoon or evening showers trying to steal the spotlight.
