Weather Update

Greetings from the National Weather Forecasting Centre! It’s your favorite time of day—the moment we try to match colorful forecasts with dubious weather predictions.

So, what’s cooking in the weather pot for Fiji? It looks like a cloud party is scheduled in Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Lau, Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, and some chatty smaller islands. Expect some rainfall to spice things up, while the rest of us enjoy the fine outdoor weather. As night falls, don’t forget to grab a cozy blanket; it’ll be more refreshing than a midnight snack.

Southeast winds will be moderate to fresh, giving you that breezy feeling but also making sure you don’t accidentally kidnap your hat! Just a friendly heads-up: the seas are a bit rough, so if your boat doesn’t have a defibrillator, maybe stick to the shore for now.

Looking ahead to Sunday, it seems to be a repeat episode of cloudy periods with tiny showers in Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Lau, Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, and nearby little islands. All other areas will have nice weather continuing their fine streak. Nighttime will still bring cool exterior comforts worthy of a soothing Netflix binge.
