Weather Alert!

Greetings from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi! It’s time to grab your umbrellas (or maybe just look for the missing socks they usually accompany) because we have an interesting forecast lined up for you!

For the Fiji group until midnight tomorrow, get ready for a moody sky with some brief showers ready to sprinkle a little drama over the interior and eastern parts of Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, and the ever-so-tropical Taveuni, among other delightful spots. Viti Levu, from Serua-Namosi to Navua-Suva-Nausori, will be sharing the cloudy vibes too, as well as the Lau and Lomaiviti groups.

Now, don’t get too soggy just yet! Elsewhere, it’s looking positively fine, except for the occasional rebellious afternoon or evening shower popping up unannounced. Expect moderate to fresh easterly winds, which should keep your hair from looking too perfect. And the seas? Moderate to rough, so maybe it’s not the best day to start that pirate career you’ve been considering.

Looking ahead to Friday, overall, it seems like a fine day is in store with only a few teaser showers, especially in the interior and eastern areas of Viti Levu. Those regions will get a little love from the clouds, while the rest of the country can bask in the sunshine, just don’t forget about the wind—moderate to fresh easterlies will still be around!

Now, let’s break it down region by region:

For Navua / Suva / Nausori: Expect cloudy periods with some spitting from the sky. Tomorrow’s min will be a cozy 23, peaking at a sizzling 30. Friday? Slim chance of showers again, with the same comfy range.

Over in Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Absolutely fine—perfect beach weather! Tomorrow’s temps will be a snuggly minimum of 22 with a maximum of 31. And Friday? You guessed it, just fine again!

Nadi / Lautoka / Ba: Yep, you guessed it, straight-up fine weather. Tomorrow’s juicy details: Min 24, Max 33. The same goes for Friday!

For Tavua/Rakiraki: It’s fine, fine, and more fine! Tomorrow’s forecast is a min of 23 and max of 33. Same for Friday!

Now, let’s not forget Natadradave/Korovou: A little cloudy mix with brief showers. Tomorrow’s topic of conversation will be between 23 and 31 degrees, and Friday holds similar prospects.

Yasawa/Mamanuca group: Sun, sun, and more sun! Tomorrow’s fun temperatures? Min 22, Max 32. Friday keeps it cheerfully fine.

Labasa: Just like a sunny day at the beach. Tomorrow’s forecast hits 23-32. And Friday? You bet it stays the same!

Savusavu: Get ready for a sprinkle party with cloudy intervals. Tomorrow’s theme: Min 23, Max 30—Friday plays it safe too!

Over in Nabouwalu: Cloudy to the max with little showers popping in. Forecast: Min of 22 and max of 31 for tomorrow and a similarly bubbly Friday.

For Taveuni: Same as Nabouwalu—a sprinkle or two in the mix! Tomorrow’s min/max: 22-31 and Friday does not disappoint with variety!

Lau and Lomaiviti groups: Cloudy with showers, oo-la-la! Tomorrow’s fun range is between 23-31. And Friday keeps the atmosphere lively!

Kadavu will also see some fine stretches of sunny weather with the odd afternoon shower. Tomorrow’s forecast sits between 22 and 31, and Friday promises much of the same.

And a special note for Rotuma: A STRONG WIND WARNING is waving from the horizon! With robust easterly winds at 20-25 knots brewing over the waters and a similarly moderate breeze on land, expect some cloudy periods featuring short-lived showers. Tomorrow holds a min of 24 and a max of 32, while Friday might crank up the excitement a bit with isolated thunderstorms!

Rain or shine, remember to keep smiling and adapt to the whims of Mother Nature!
