Weather Update
Brought to you by the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 5:30 am on this cheerful Monday morning, January 26, 2026.
Situation: It seems our friendly south to southeasterly winds are giving the country a refreshing breeze—perfect for fanning yourself while you contemplate if you really need to get out of bed today!
Forecast until midnight: Expect cloudy periods sprinkled with brief showers across Sigatoka-Coral coast, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and other lovely locales such as the Interior Nadroga/Navosa, Ra, Naitasiri & Serua-Namosi region, Vanua Levu, and even Taveuni. Elsewhere, if you’re in search of sunbathing opportunities, fine weather is on offer. Meanwhile, the moderate winds blowing from the southeast will be reminding us that summer is definitely a thing. Seas are moderate—probably good for swimming if you don’t mind the occasional splash!
Outlook for Tuesday: Get ready for more cloudy periods with brief showers! They seem to have become the trend in the eastern and interior parts of Viti Levu, Southern Bua, lovely Cakaudrove, and the beautiful Lau and Lomaiviti group. Expect the occasional boisterous afternoon thunderstorm over the interior regions of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu—grab a popcorn, it might even be a show! The winds will remain moderately southeasterly, while the seas decide to stay moderate as well.
