Situation: A shy little trough of low pressure is cruising ever so slowly over the southern Lau group, looking for a good spot to camp out. Meanwhile, an east to northeast wind is strutting its stuff across the Fiji group like it owns the place. Just when you thought it was safe, another timid trough is expected to waltz in from the west later today. Grab your umbrellas; it might just have a few surprises for you!

Forecast until midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Expect lovely weather, with just a few flirtatious showers popping up during the day in places like Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and more. So if you’re on your way to the beach, don’t forget your raincoat—just in case! Cloudy periods will likely crash the party later today with some showers trying to steal the spotlight.

For those elsewhere, the sun will mostly shine bright, with a cheeky isolated shower or two sneaking in during the afternoon or evening. Keep your eyes peeled for possible afternoon thunderstorms over the always-crazy Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

Winds will be moderate from the east to northeast, but they’ll shyly change direction, possibly throwing a little dance move to switch it to northeasterly to southwesterly winds later today. And if you like a little bounce, you’ll appreciate the moderate seas.

Outlook for Thursday: Cloudy periods will take the stage, bringing company in the form of showers over the usual suspects: Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and more. Elsewhere, expect a flirtation with partly cloudy skies and isolated showers popping up later in the day. And yes, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu can expect those sneaky afternoon or evening thunderstorms to make an appearance once again.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori:
Enjoy fine weather, with a brief shower or two just to keep things interesting. Cloudy periods might show up later today, hoping to bring a few more showers.

For Sigatoka/Coral Coast:
A splendid day is on the menu—until those isolated afternoon or evening showers decide to crash the party. Cloudy periods may also strut in later, with random showers looking to make an appearance.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba:
Another charm at hand; fine weather reigns, save for occasional afternoon or evening rain. Don’t be surprised if you find those mid-day showers joining in for some fun as well.

For Tavua/Rakiraki:
Stay fine and bright most of the day, apart from those pesky afternoon/evening showers. Don’t forget, cloudy periods will pay a visit later in the day.

For Natadradave/Korovou:
It’s looking good—mostly fine, aside from some brief day showers. Expect to see those cloudy moments later as well, bringing some more rain.

For Yasawa/Mamanuca group:
Living the sunny life for now, with only a few isolated afternoon or evening showers on the forecast. They might come out to play later, so keep your eyes on the sky!

For Labasa:
A fine day, yet again, until those charming afternoon showers think they should join the group. Partly cloudy skies will lend a hand too.

For Savusavu:
It’s fine—until we experience some brief showers! Looks like cloudy periods and some showers will join the show later today.

For Lau/Lomaiviti:
A predominantly cloudy day awaits, with showers attempting a mid-spotlight takeover in southern Lau. Expect them to keep coming after the sun takes a bow.

For Kadavu:
Enjoy fine weather, marked by some quick showers all day, as well as those cloud bursts ready to take center stage later.

For Rotuma:
Easterly winds are flowing through here, bringing mostly fine conditions, with a dash of brief showers. Moderate winds are dancing through, and moderate seas are making for a cozy sail.

Outlook for Thursday: More clouds are heading your way, along with showers and possibly some rambunctious little thunderstorms looking to join in the fun. Make it a great day, everyone!
