Buckle up, everyone! A sneaky trough of low pressure is pulling out all the stops, draping its cloudy shenanigans and shower antics across the eastern and northern parts of our lovely archipelago. Meanwhile, our resident moisture moguls, the east to southeast winds, are giving the whole country a gentle pat on the back (or perhaps just a damp hug).

Forecast until midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Get ready for an exclusive all-day experience of occasional showers and the ever-dramatic isolated thunderstorms gracing the areas of Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Eastern Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Taveuni, and some shuttle-sized smaller islands along with Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, and its tiny friends. You might even want to grab your umbrella because we could see some hefty falls – and I don’t mean the waterfall kind!

On the flip side, the rest of the islands will be enjoying fine weather – just a little sprinkling of afternoon or evening showers and maybe a dash of thunder for excitement.

Expect moderate to fresh winds from the east to northeast, which might feel gusty where those heavy falls and thunderstorms decide to put on a little performance. Also, the seas are moderate to rough, so keep your sea legs ready!

Outlook for Sunday: The fun continues with occasional showers and a few thunderstorms across the same regions. Yes, the show must go on! Elsewhere, expect a partly cloudy sky and the usual afternoon or evening sprinkle of showers.
