Ladies and gentlemen, gather around as we deliver the weather gossip straight from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi on this fine Thursday evening, December 25, 2025. Now, before we dive into the forecast, let’s address the elephant in the room (or should we say the cloud in the sky): there’s a pesky trough of low pressure hanging around and causing some cloudy shenanigans over the northern parts of our beautiful isles.

Now, what’s in store for the Fiji group before the clock strikes midnight tomorrow? Expect a dramatic sky filled with cloud performances and occasional showers in places like Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Eastern Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Taveuni, and their little island buddies. The Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, and nearby islands are also in on the action. If you’re in the Northern Division, prepare for the chance of some isolated heavy downpours and a thunderstorm—perhaps Mother Nature’s way of throwing a surprise party!

Elsewhere, the weather is looking fine, apart from some shy afternoon or evening showers that seem to appear only to get back to their clouds just as quickly. The southeasterly winds are puffing along, fresh enough to lend an exciting gust to your hair, especially in areas blessed with those heavier falls and booming thunder.

And about those rough seas? Well, hold onto your hats (and your surfboards), because the wave action is moderate to rough out there!

Now, if we put on our crystal ball for Saturday’s forecast, it looks like a repeat performance with a comical twist: your drama-filled cloudy periods will be back with some showers for the usual suspects mentioned earlier. Isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms? Yes, please! Is there a weather sitcom casting call happening or what?

Here are the updates for some of your favorite local hotspots:

For Navua / Suva / Nausori: Expect cloudy periods with a few showers. Tomorrow’s temperatures will be lounging between a cozy 22°C and a summery 31°C. Saturday will bring the same vibes!

For Natadradave/Korovou: Same story with chilly clouds and showers. Tomorrow’s range? A delightful 21°C to 31°C, with Saturday promising an encore performance!

And over at the Coral Coast? It’s looking fine and fabulous, apart from the occasional afternoon or evening sprinkle—similar temperatures of 22°C to 31°C for now and Saturday.

Now, Nadi / Lautoka / Ba are basking in mostly fine weather with just a hint of afternoon showers. Expect temps of 22°C and 32°C—perfect beach day material!

Meanwhile, in Labasa, pack your umbrella because it’s cloudy with potential heavy showers and thunderstorms sneaking in for some drama. Expect temperatures dancing between 22°C and 32°C for tomorrow and Saturday.

Savusavu will be getting in on the action with clouds and showers, with the possibility of thunderstorms on the side—tomorrow’s temperatures shall reach 22°C to 31°C.

Our friends in Rotuma are in for a treat with occasional showers, possibly heavy along with some thunder. Tomorrow will offer a warm 25°C up to 30°C, so don’t put away your beach gear just yet!

Now, do keep your umbrellas handy, because it looks like our playful weather has quite the show planned for the coming days! Stay dry and enjoy the spectacle!
