Hold on to your hats, because a HEAVY WARNING is officially in place for the entire Fiji Group. Yes, you heard it right! Please, if you haven’t already, check out the latest thrills and spills at: https://www.met.gov.fj/alerts/.

We also have a STRONG WIND ALERT swirling through the land areas of Yasawa, Mamanuca, Taveuni, and nearby small islands, as well as the Lau and Lomaiviti groups!

What’s happening? A delightful trough of low pressure has decided to drop by, bringing along clouds, showers, and the all-time favorite – rain!

Here’s what you can expect until the clock strikes midnight tomorrow: a generous helping of occasional rain, heavy at times (perfect for those dramatic moments), with a sprinkle of thunderstorms over most areas. If you thought that was it, think again! Occasional rain is sticking around for tomorrow too, making its presence known with the same old heavy and thunderous routine.

Persistent heavy falls might just lead to some flash flooding in low-lying spots, so keep your flotation devices handy! Expect moderate to fresh easterly winds, which will shift to a friendly north-easterly direction starting tomorrow. Oh, and don’t forget about the moderate to rough seas out there – perfect for those pirate reenactments.

The crystal ball predicts a windy Wednesday with north winds whipping through at speeds up to 45 km/hr, with some gusts making an appearance up to 55 km/hr over those adventurous areas like Yasawa, Mamanuca, Taveuni, and smaller islands along with Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
