Hold onto your umbrellas, folks! A HEAVY RAIN ALERT is officially in play for the entire Fiji Group. That’s right, it’s time to dust off those raincoats and embrace your inner duck!

What’s happening? Well, a rather moody trough of low pressure is making itself comfy over us, bringing plenty of clouds, showers, and some rain that might make you rethink plans for a sunny beach day.

The forecast up until midnight tomorrow? Expect sporadic rain, which could get quite frothy at times, with a few electric thunderstorms to spice things up. So, if you see a flash of light, no, it’s not that your phone is about to die—it’s just Mother Nature showing off.

We might see persistent downpours leading to flash flooding in low-lying areas; so, don’t go floating away unless you’ve got a life raft handy! Winds are blowing in from the east with a moderate to fresh swell. Tomorrow, those breezes will switch to the north, probably waving goodbye to the last of the dry weather.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, hold onto your hats—literally! Northerly winds could whip up to 45 km/h, with gusts that might have you reconsidering that kite-flying adventure. Seas are going to be moderately rough, perfect for the thrill-seekers!

Let’s break it down area by area, shall we?

In Navua, Suva, and Nausori: Prepare for a rain dance! Expect gradual drizzles today with a max temp of 30. Tomorrow? We’ll sit at a cozy 24-29 range, with more rain on the horizon.

Natadradave/Korovou: Same story as above, but don’t fret; you’re not alone in this rain parade! Max temp today? 30, with tomorrow holding steady at 24-29.

Sigatoka/Coral Coast: The clouds have rolled in; heavy showers are likely, and just like your awning on a rainy day, expect more rain! Enjoy today’s max of 30 and tomorrow’s lingering 24-29.

Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba: Rain, glorious rain! You’re looking at a max of 31 today, with tomorrow holding tradition at a cozy 24-30.

For Tavua/Rakiraki: You’ve joined the club of occasional rain and thunderstorms. Maxing out at 30 today, tomorrow looks to follow suit with a different story, but still keeping it between 24 and 29.

In the Yasawa/Mamanuca group: The weather seems a bit dramatic, with the same gloomy yet exciting forecast!

Labasa will be basking in temporary showers and will see a warm 32 today. Get ready for the temperatures to drop to 24-30 tomorrow.

Savusavu: Rain with an expected max of 31 today—what more can you ask from a tropical paradise? Cooler weather is arriving with 24-30 tomorrow.

Nabouwalu, Taveuni, and Lau/Lomaiviti Group: They’re all in for a splash-tastic time with looming rain and wind vibes. Make sure your boat is ready for those waves!

And finally, for our friends in Kadavu and Rotuma: Expect those occasional heavy showers and winds that remind us all that Mother Nature has a sense of humor!

Stay dry and keep your eyes to the sky—it’s going to be a wild ride!
