Fiji Water Flying Fijians head coach Mick Byrne is bracing for a challenging series of matches as his team gears up to face Samoa and Tonga in the upcoming 2024 Pacific Nations Cup. He labels these encounters as a “tough Pacific battle,” poised to provide significant learning experiences for his players.

“Samoa and Tonga are formidable opponents, as they always are,” Byrne remarked. “We’re very excited about welcoming Samoa to our home ground and then making the trip to Tonga before we head to Japan.”

Given the reputation of both teams for their physical play and strong performances, Byrne anticipates a hard-fought competition. “Both teams will be fiercely competitive, and we are eager for that challenge,” he stated.

The Fijian squad is set to host Manu Samoa at the HFC Bank Stadium next Friday at 6 PM.
