The Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF) has issued an important alert urging ship owners and captains to collect their outstanding registration and survey certificates. These documents are essential for the lawful operation of vessels, and failure to possess them can result in operational delays or potential regulatory penalties.
Recently, MSAF observed that numerous operators have not retrieved their finalized paperwork. These certificates are crucial as they serve as official validation that a vessel complies with the stringent safety standards necessary to navigate Fiji’s waters.
In addition to this reminder, MSAF teams are actively conducting thorough inspections of inter-island vessels.
