Fiji will field a 23-strong swimming team at the XIV Oceania Swimming Championships, set to take place at the Damodar Aquatic Centre in Suva from May 8 to 13, 2026. The announced squad blends emerging talent with established performers as Fiji prepares to host one of the region’s premier aquatic meets.

The contingent comprises nine women and 14 men. The female swimmers named to the team are Anahira McCutcheon, Marseleima Moss, Kelera Mudunasoko, Vivita Bai, Grace Khelan, Theola Kwong, Charis Kwong, Salote Leca and Jonalese Vatubua. Their inclusion marks a mix of youth and experience aimed at contesting multiple events across the meet’s programme.

The men’s lineup is anchored by Pacific Games gold medallists Hansel McCaig and David Young, who bring continental medal experience to the team. They will be joined by Keenan Kostatino, Thaddeus Kwong, Makalo Philp, Livai Raviko, Jeremiah Rova, Maki’uti Seruvatu, Che Taito, Reuben Taylor, Samuel Yalimaiwai, Tilden Samuelu, Don Younger and Jamesa Younger, completing the 14-member male squad.

Team management and coaching support have also been confirmed. Sharon Smith will serve as team manager while the coaching group comprises Paula Cokanasiga, Willie Elaisa, Salaseini Lele, Esther Malani and Rosemary Rova. The multi-coach setup is intended to provide technical and event-specific guidance across the sprint and distance disciplines expected at the championships.

Hosting the championships at Suva’s Damodar Aquatic Centre adds significance for the Fijian squad; competing on home soil gives athletes familiar surroundings and local support as the region’s best swimmers converge on the capital. The Oceania Championships typically attract national teams from across the Pacific and Oceania and serve as a key regional competition on the calendar.

With the event just weeks away, the announcement of the full 23-member roster is the latest development in Fiji’s preparations. The squad selection confirms who will represent the country in a range of individual and relay events when competition begins on May 8 and runs through May 13, 2026.
