Members of the National Men’s Under-19 Football team are set to enter a training camp starting Tuesday as they gear up to take on a visiting Australian team in Fiji. Head coach Dhirend Chand announced that each player has received individualized training programs to follow during the break for the Christmas season.
While the players have been given time off, Chand emphasized the importance of monitoring their adherence to these training regimens. The team will remain in camp until their match against the Australians, scheduled for the 17th of this month at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
Chand noted that this upcoming match will serve as a crucial opportunity for the team to gain valuable experience ahead of the OFC Qualifiers. Post-match, the coaching staff plans to evaluate the performance to identify strengths and weaknesses, setting the stage for necessary adjustments in their training strategy.
This proactive approach reflects a dedication to improvement and readiness, ensuring the team is well-prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.
