A significant operation is currently taking place at the Dignified Crematorium in Nakasi, where authorities are preparing to destroy around $2 billion worth of methamphetamine. This massive seizure, totaling 4.15 tonnes, was confiscated from a property in Legalega, Nadi, in January of the previous year.

The destruction will take place through vaporization in a furnace, a method recognized for securely eliminating hazardous substances.
