Telecom Fiji has joined forces with Allot Communications, a global leader in ICT security solutions, to launch Fiji’s inaugural network-based cybersecurity services tailored for businesses. This collaboration positions Telecom as one of the pioneering telecom providers in the region to offer such advanced cyber protection to its customers.
In a recent statement, Telecom Fiji highlighted that the new cybersecurity solution aims to shield businesses from a wide array of cyber threats. These include malware attacks that can disrupt operations and compromise data, ransomware that encrypts crucial information and demands large ransoms for restoration, phishing attempts that seek to steal login credentials and personal data, and harmful websites that can infect devices with malware or steal information.
Charles Goundar, the CEO of Telecom Fiji, emphasized the increasing demand for sophisticated security measures in today’s digital landscape. He stated, “Our partnership with Allot enables us to provide businesses with a robust and reliable cybersecurity solution, ensuring their operations and data remain protected against a wide range of cyber threats.”
Through this platform, Telecom plans to deliver unified and managed cybersecurity solutions that function seamlessly at the network level, offering businesses an extra layer of defense against potential dangers.
Dr. Weiming Li, Vice President of Sales for the Asia Pacific region at Allot, noted that this partnership will introduce Allot Secure to Fijian businesses and communities. He remarked, “Our network-based threat protection solution is designed to provide seamless and comprehensive security, allowing businesses to operate with confidence and resilience in the face of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.”
The new cybersecurity solution is currently available for purchase from Telecom Fiji.
