Stade Olympique Chambérien Rugby has made a significant addition to its backline by signing former Fiji 7s star Rokoua Rasaku to a two-year contract. At just 26 years old, Rasaku brings a wealth of experience from the international sevens arena, having recently played for Fiji in the Oceania Sevens Championship. His impressive speed and attacking prowess were on full display during the tournament, positioning him as a formidable asset for the French club.

Rasaku, who is versatile enough to play both as a winger and in the centers, is celebrated for his agility, quick footwork, and ability to penetrate defenses. Standing at 1.73 meters and weighing 81 kilograms, he combines physical strength with flair, making him a constant threat in one-on-one situations.

Beyond his rugby career, Rasaku is also a dedicated member of the military, representing the Fiji Army XV, which underscores his strong commitment and leadership qualities—traits that are expected to translate well to his contributions on the field in Chambéry.

Stade Olympique Chambérien Rugby views Rasaku as a strategic addition who will enhance the team’s offensive capabilities with his speed, power, and precision over the next two seasons.

This move comes at a time when several players are making significant transitions to different clubs, notably within the French leagues, as veteran players look to shift to ProD2 clubs. The overall trend emphasizes a dynamic period of player movement within rugby, presenting opportunities for teams to bolster their lineups with fresh talent.

With Rasaku’s signing, Chambéry fans can hopeful look forward to an exciting season ahead, filled with the potential for strong performances as the club aims to improve its standings in the league.
