The Sugar Industry Tribunal has set a provisional end date for the 2025 sugarcane crushing season at the Rarawai Mill, announcing that it will tentatively conclude on Sunday, January 11, 2026. This decision comes after discussions between the Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) and the Sugar Cane Growers Council, who have reached a mutual agreement on the timeline.

The Tribunal emphasized its commitment to closely monitor the progress of both harvesting and crushing operations leading up to this date. The official termination of the crushing season will be confirmed with a final order issued one week before the conclusion, contingent upon further discussions with stakeholders.

This proactive approach aims to ensure that all parties are well-informed and prepared as the season progresses. The careful oversight and collaboration among the Tribunal, FSC, and the Sugar Cane Growers Council reflect a dedication to the sugar industry’s stability and efficiency in Fiji.
