Children from Verata and Wailevu gathered along the roadside to pay their respects to fallen hero, PC 8012 Peniasi Waqawai Racagi, as his funeral cortege passed by on the Kings Highway toward Natovi jetty yesterday afternoon. The tribute was a heartfelt demonstration of the community’s solidarity and appreciation for the late officer’s service.
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka participated in honoring PC Racagi by closing the signing of a condolence book at the Fiji Police Force Headquarters at Centrepoint in Laucala. The book was made available for signatures starting Monday, March 2, 2026, allowing government officials, members of the diplomatic community, faith-based leaders, law enforcement partners, former and retired officers, and the public to express their condolences.
