The Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew, expressed his appreciation for the dedicated efforts of officers in the Western Division during a medal presentation ceremony at the Girmit Center in Lautoka today. He acknowledged the numerous challenges the division faced over the past year, emphasizing that despite experiencing both good days and bad, resilience and strong leadership allowed them to persevere.
Chew praised the leadership of the Deputy Police Commissioner and his command group for effectively steering the division forward, highlighting the importance of maintaining focus despite obstacles. He also took the opportunity to express gratitude to everyone for their support throughout his tenure as Acting Commissioner and recognized the former officers for their ongoing commitment to the police force.
During the event, a total of 188 officers and retirees received the Fiji Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, while 69 individuals were honored with the Fiji Police Medal for their exemplary service.
