Fiji National University (FNU) celebrated the graduation of approximately 574 students from its College of Business, Hospitality and Tourism, College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, and College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry at the Vodafone Arena in Suva. This ceremony marks a significant milestone for the institution and its graduates.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba expressed pride in the accomplishments of the students, emphasizing the crucial role of their teachers in their success. She encouraged the audience to acknowledge the educators’ contributions, stating, “Every time there’s a graduation, please put your hands together for the teachers as well, this tells me that they are doing a very good job.”

Prof. Nabobo-Baba highlighted the importance of accountability and the duty to serve with excellence that FNU instills in its graduates. She expressed hope that their impact would contribute to building a better Pacific and a better world.

The graduation festivities will continue with another ceremony featuring 541 students from the College of Engineering & Technical Vocational Education & Training (CETVET), National Training and Productivity Centre (NPTC), and Pacific Centre for Maritime Studies (PCMS).

This graduation event not only celebrates individual achievements but also reflects the university’s dedication to providing a quality education and nurturing future leaders who are poised to make meaningful contributions to society. The atmosphere of pride and celebration is a testament to the hard work of both the graduates and their supporters, illuminating a hopeful path forward for Fiji’s future.
