FIJI Water Flying Fijians lock forward Isoa Nasilasila will miss the remaining matches against Spain and Ireland due to injury. Head Coach Mick Byrne announced that Nasilasila suffered a significant injury during the game against Wales, ruling him out for the rest of the Northern Tour.

Byrne stated, “Isoa Nasilasila has got quite a nasty injury,” though he did not disclose further details about its seriousness. It is expected that Nasilasila will remain off the field for a prolonged period as he undergoes evaluation and treatment.

Additionally, fullback Vuate Karawalevu also sustained an injury during the match against Wales. However, Byrne noted that Karawalevu is expected to recover in time to participate in future matches.

Byrne acknowledged the challenges faced by the team, highlighting that some players have been dealing with minor injuries since the Pacific Nations Cup. He remarked on the difficulty of competing in four consecutive Tests, which adds to the physical toll on the players.

Despite these setbacks, the team can look forward to the return of Karawalevu and continue to rally together as they face upcoming challenges. This situation underscores the resilience of the Flying Fijians, who remain determined to perform at their best in the remaining fixtures.

In summary, while the team faces absences due to injuries, they are hopeful about player recoveries and the opportunity to strengthen their performance as they navigate this challenging season.
