Suva lawyer Tanya Waqanika has been officially charged by the Fiji Independent Commission against Corruption for an alleged violation of Section 14D of the Fijian Political Parties Act 2013. Waqanika appeared at the Suva Magistrates Court earlier today as the case unfolds.

The charge reportedly stems from a social media post made by Waqanika in April of the previous year, which has raised concerns about compliance with the political parties legislation in Fiji.

As the legal proceedings commence, more updates are expected to emerge regarding the details of the case and its implications.
