Weather Bulletin

Attention, fellow weather enthusiasts! If you haven’t already noticed, Fiji is set to turn into the land of clouds and rain as we gear up for an exciting weather adventure. A Heavy Rain Alert is still in the air for our fabulous Fiji group, so make sure you have your umbrellas and possibly a boat handy!

We’ve got an active trough of low pressure plotting its entrance from the west, bringing along a delightful assortment of clouds and rain. It’s expected to make a grand debut from late Tuesday (30th Dec) and stick around until Thursday (1st Jan) – not quite the New Year’s party we envisioned, but hey, the more rain, the merrier!

For our daily forecast leading up to midnight tomorrow, get ready for cloudy skies, intermittent showers, and a sprinkle of thunderstorms to keep things lively. With rain on the menu, make sure not to forget your raincoat—unless you fancy a very wet fashion statement.

As showers become more frequent, we’re looking at some localised heavy falls. So if you’re in low-lying or flood-prone areas, grab your swimming gear as flash flooding could make things a little splashy!

Let’s get into the nitty-gritty of what to expect Tuesday and Wednesday across various regions:

For Navua, Suva, and Nausori, prepare for cloudy skies and showers, with thunderstorm flair added on. Temps will hover between a minimum of 24°C and a maximum of 30°C tomorrow. Wednesday might feel a bit cooler but expect occasional heavy rain and some thunder, so keep those dance moves ready for when the skies crack!

Natadradave and Korovou are getting the same cloudy treatment, with the same temperature range. Think of it as synchronized weather!

For our friends by the Coral Coast in Sigatoka, it’s a very similar forecast—cloudy with showers, maximum temp at 30°C. Perfect day for a cozy indoor movie marathon, or if you’re feeling adventurous, a wet weather picnic!

Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba also aren’t getting off lightly, with the same rainy pattern to enjoy. You’re looking at a max of 31°C tomorrow—ideal for a dip if you happen to be near a pool!

Let’s not forget Tavua, Rakiraki, the Yasawa and Mamanuca group! You guessed it; clouds and showers galore!

Over in Labasa, expect the same—cloudy with intermittent showers, and don’t leave home without your umbrella!

Savusavu, Nabouwalu, and Taveuni are also joining the rain brigade, with showers ready to roll in from tomorrow.

In the Lau and Lomaiviti group and Kadavu, it’s going to be similarly cloudy with frequent showers, keeping things cozy and wet. You might want to start building your ark!

And last but not least, Rotuma! It’s looking a bit windy, so hold onto your hats—literally!

In conclusion, while we’re about to enjoy a good soaking, remember, the islands are still as warm and gorgeous as ever. So, whether you decide to brave the rain or cozy up indoors, Fiji weather is adding a splash of excitement to our lives!
