I know it will not be easy, but I have been putting in the hard work and I believe that I can achieve this goal of mine.”

This year’s Fiji Finals is particularly significant, marking the 50th anniversary of the national championships and creating a heightened atmosphere of competition. Athletes like David inspire not just their peers but also the wider community, embodying the spirit of perseverance and dedication that is vital in athletics.

As more athletes prepare to compete, the ongoing support from schools, families, and the Fijian community illustrates a collective commitment to fostering young talent and promoting a vibrant sporting culture in Fiji. The anticipation leading up to the finals is certainly palpable, with hopes high for exceptional performances and new records.
