Fiji FA Unveils Squad for Crucial U15 Trials: Who Will Shine?

The Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) has officially announced a 40-member extended squad for trials to select the under-15 boys development team. This announcement was made via the Fiji FA’s Facebook page recently.

These trials are set to take place at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba as part of the preparation for the upcoming OFC U15 boys youth development tournament scheduled to occur in New Zealand from April 15 to 23.

The squad is diverse, representing various districts including Ba, Labasa, Lautoka, Nadi, Nadroga, Nasinu, Rewa, Navua, Rakiraki, Seaqaqa, Suva, and Tavua. Among the standout talents selected are Ayush Kumar, Emononi Manono, and Joshua Prasad, all from Ba, alongside Labasa’s Iowane Waganilotou and Solomon Driver. Notable inclusions from Lautoka include Simeli Tauvoli and Shahil Prasad, while Nadi will have Rayyaan Mohammed and Isaiah Nadule Toqabele representing the district. Furthermore, players Dikshit Bhan and Gideon Ratu from Nasinu, and Isoa Baselala and Rohan Jacob Ram from Rewa are also part of the squad.

This trial process is crucial for finalizing the team that will represent Fiji in the OFC tournament. Throughout the trials, selected players will receive intensive training aimed at enhancing their skills and fostering team cohesion. The Fiji FA has highlighted the significance of these trials in developing the future of Fijian football, with aspirations to cultivate talent for international competitions. The final squad announcement is anticipated after the trials conclude in Ba on March 10.
