Suva Magistrate Krishnan Prasad instructed the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption to deliver the second phase disclosures to former Fiji Broadcasting Corporation CEO Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and CFO Vimlesh Sagar by 4:30 PM today.

This directive was issued during a court session earlier today. The court also noted that Sagar, who is currently on bail, lacks a second surety in the case records.

Sayed-Khaiyum faces charges of one count of abuse of office and one count of general dishonesty resulting in a loss, while Sagar is charged with one count of general dishonesty causing a loss. In another case, Sayed-Khaiyum has similar charges against him, and Sagar also faces a charge of general dishonesty.

The hearing has been postponed until August 31, 2024, for a plea, and Magistrate Prasad has transferred the case back to Court One.
