A significant development has emerged in connection with a large drug bust in Vatia, as five individuals have appeared in the Rakiraki Magistrates Court facing charges linked to the seizure of over 2.6 tonnes of cocaine. Among the accused is Norman Fisher, 42, who has gained particular attention due to his previous role as a state witness in the high-profile Justin Ho drug case. The other individuals charged are Manasa Saladrau, 46; Sunia Kobululevu, 36; Trevis Cheer, 33; and Anaseini Lisa Kinikinilau Rokolati, 23, who is a hotel worker based in Australia.

The police have indicated that additional information regarding the charges and the ongoing investigation will be made available soon, suggesting that this case may continue to develop further. The involvement of a former prosecution witness adds a layer of complexity to the situation, underscoring the seriousness of drug-related crimes and the challenges faced by law enforcement in tackling such activities. As the investigation unfolds, the community and authorities remain vigilant against drug trafficking and its impacts.
