Police officers are currently stationed at various evacuation centers across the Southern, Eastern, Northern, and Central Divisions of Fiji as a heavy rain warning remains in effect for the entire Fiji Group. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, confirmed that there is ongoing coordination with the National Disaster Management Office to address the prevailing weather conditions.

ACP Driu has stated that police teams are on standby and ready to be deployed, urging residents in low-lying areas to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions for their safety. The public is strongly advised to adhere strictly to warnings and advisories issued by local authorities.
