The Nadi weather office has reported that a trough of low pressure, bringing cloud and rain, is currently stationary over the southern regions of Fiji. This weather phenomenon is enhancing the existing northwesterly wind flow, which results in intermittent rain throughout the country.

The forecast indicates that areas including Kadavu, the Moala Group, and the Southern Lau Group should expect occasional rain, which may be heavy at times, along with the possibility of thunderstorms.

For the interior regions of Viti Levu, including areas from Sigatoka to Navua, along with Suva, North Tailevu, interior parts of Vanua Levu, and the southern regions of Vanua Levu, the weather is expected to be predominantly cloudy with intermittent showers. These showers are likely to intensify into frequent rainfall during the afternoon and evening, coupled with a few thunderstorms.

As Fiji prepares for these weather changes, residents are advised to stay updated and take necessary precautions for safety during the rainy and potentially stormy conditions. This situation serves as a reminder of the importance of being prepared for adverse weather as it can impact daily life and local communities.
